Dr Paulo R. F. Rocha

Paulo is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Bath in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. His research focus on Bioelectronics - advanced sensors for healthcare and diagnostics - an interest consolidated during his post-doctoral research at Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany. Paulo's laboratory is also interested in detecting microalgae cooperative signalling for early detection and prevention of harmful blooms and an extensive range of stress-induced alterations in the aquatic ecosystem.

Paulo is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Chartered Scientist (CSci), Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET). He is a member of the Center for Advanced Sensor Technologies (CAST), Bath Biosensor Network and core member of the Centre for Biosensors, Bioelectronics and Biodevices C3Bio
